MD/MS - Doctor of Medicine /Masters of Surgery
Doctor of Medicine (MD) is a postgraduate degree in general medicine while Masters of Surgery (MS) is a qualification in surgery.
While MD is the study addresses main areas of research such as Anatomy, General Medicine, Radiotherapy, etc. To study MD, candidates should have completed their MBBS degree.
MS is a postgraduate medical qualification. Candidates can choose to study surgical medicine after completing their MBBS degree course. The MS degree course requires three of more years, depending on the calibre of the candidate.
Duration-3 years.
Eligibility - The students must have an M.B.B.S degree with minimum 50% marks from institutions recognized by NMC. It is mandatory for the aspiring students to complete one year of an internship on or prior to 31st march is also accepted. Students must hold a provisional or permanent certificate of registration issued by the NMC or State Medical Council. Admissions are done on the basis of All India Rank according to the National Eligibility Entrance Test Post Graduate (NEET PG) Conducted by NBE (National Board of Examination).
