BAMS- Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery

Ayurvedic medicine is a traditional system of Indian medicine. Ayurvedic medicine is an example of a well-organized system of traditional health care, both preventive and curative, that is widely practiced in parts of Asia. Ayurveda has a long tradition behind it, having originated in India perhaps as much as 3,000 years ago. Today it remains a favoured form of health care in large parts of the Eastern world, especially in India, where a large percentage of the population uses this system exclusively or combined with modern medicine.

Duration- 5.5 years(including 12 months mandatory internship)

Eligibility -Candidates are required to pass Class 12 or equivalent examination with science subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) and English core in both Class 11 and 12 from a recognised board and should have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission. An aspirant from the general category needs to secure an aggregate of 50% in their Class 12 Board examination. While for SC/ST/OBC candidates, the qualifying percentage is 40%. Only those students who are qualified in NEET UG exam are eligible for BAMS.
